Cork – Timoleague – Courtmacsherry

Drive south west of Cork on the N71 towards Bandon. Upon entering the first roundabout outside Bandon take the first exit and follow the signs for Timoleague. A further 5 kilometres from Timoleague brings you to the pretty beach and watersports centre in Courtmacsherry.

Courtmacsherry – Clonakilty – Glandore

Back track from Courtmacsherry to Timoleague where you will pick up the R600 which connects to the N71 just outside Clonakilty.

Leaving Clonakility, you will continue along the N71 towards Rosscarbery. Upon entering the town you will branch left on to the R597 for the pretty village of Glandore.

Glandore – Skibbereen – Cork

From Glandore, take the short drive back to the N71 at Leap. Turn left for Skibbereen which is only 10 kilometres from this junction.

From Skibbereen, you can either drive back to Cork staying on the N71 or depending on time there is a nice short loop that takes in Castletownshend, Lough Hyne and Baltimore.
