Visit the artist studios downstairs at The Shanagarry Design Centre where you can meet and greet the local artists and potters, watch live art and craft demonstrations and even have a go at being creative yourself!
Painting Experience with Breakfast or Lunch
Get the creative juices flowing with a private painting class for your group. Your instructor, Phil, has been a renowned artist for over 25 years and has been resident in the Shanagarry Design Centre, also since its inception. Well known for his prints he has been involved in many exhibitions, solo and with groups and has paintings in collections worldwide, Phil runs classes on a weekly basis for all levels from beginners to advanced.
Follow the experience with a fabulous home cooked 2 course Lunch or traditional Irish breakfast with tea/coffee overlooking the beautiful Ballycotton Bay plus a VIP card for all guests offering a 10% DISCOUNT on any retail purchases.

Pottery Experience
A pottery workshop is the perfect de-stress session for couples – increase creative problem solving and encourage communication in a fun workshop pottery experience. Ceramic designer Orla O’Rourke creates by hand wonderful pieces that are both functional and stylish. Orla creates her handmade pieces and has her kiln at the Shanagarry Design Centre.
Option #1
Hand building – Will include making a ceramic piece of art work, materials and firings- all pieces will have a glazed finish. When finished the pieces will be sent to the clients home by courier.
€40 per person ( not including courier fees)
Option#2
Paint your own tableware
These will be individually priced and the student will pick what they want at that price and paint it. All pieces will be kiln fired and the finished piece will be sent to the customer when ready.
Prices range from €10 per person upwards (not including courier fees)
Please Note:
- Items created cannot be taken home the same day as making as everything will have to dry, then glazed and be put through the kilns.
- Each Pottery workshop is 2hours in duration
