Cork’s struggling Tourism trade has been given a timely boost – by France’s best seller guidebook. Le Guide du Routard, the travel bible of the French-speaking world, has given immense praise on our city and encouraging French tourists to visit this year. The prominent travel guide’s chief editor, Pierre Josse, admires Cork’s restaurants, pubs and fun atmosphere in the new edition of the bestselling book.
Mr Josse, From Brittany, traveled to Ireland over 40 times and he says that the incredible scenery in the surrounding country and the reasonably priced Cork hotels are other reasons why French people love to visit Cork so much.
