As you might know, Ireland is known worldwide for its’ great pubs. Well, why not experience more than Cork City on your visit and experience some real traditional country pubs. This is a tour that is popular for all sorts including stag & hen parties, company social clubs and even company days.
Our tours are designed to provide visitors with a true taste of Irish country pub culture a little bit more! We visit pre-selected venues that have taken years to research by a dedicated team of scrutineers! (don’t know if that’s actually a real word, but we are sure you get the idea).
There are two main options as follows;
East Cork Pub Tour
Leaving Cork, we head east to your first stop. The world famous Jameson Distillery, where you get to do the tour and sample some of the house spirits. Continuing East, you reach your next venue a traditional thatched pub. Taste good Cork Stout (there’s more stout than just Guinness you know!) where the knowledgeable bar man will the espouse the superior benefits of the local brews over the more famous Dublin brand. Lastly, we bring you to another little gem, that is off the beaten track, where you learn the art of pulling the perfect pint…. it’s harder than it looks as it’s all in the wrist and delicate timing.
West Cork Pub Tour
Leaving Cork, you head towards the coast and the ever popular Myrtleville and the stunning Bunnyconnellans with its dramatic ocean views. From here you head into the historic town of Kinsale with its ancient buildings and narrow winding streets. The Malt Lane is our destination where you are educated in the fine art of whiskey tasting with an exclusive whiskey platter and the services of a dedicated whiskey barman who doubles as an oracle on all things whiskey related. Then it is a 40 minute drive to one of the most iconic pubs in Cork, De Barras of Clonakilty where you will learn of its unique connection with the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
