Take a relaxing coach journey to the heart of West Cork and experience a breathtaking wildlife encounter – Shark Fishing. This is hugely popular thing to do amongst ‘the boys’ where they get to take on fearsome sharks in the rolling roiling North Atlantic. Your boat and experienced crew comprised of Mick ‘one leg’ Murphy and John ‘Scar’ O Hara (Only joking the skipper’s name is Kieran and he definitely has both legs) will bring you 7 miles out sea for what is a fantastic seaborne adventure. Along the way you will get to stop in to Clare Island, Ireland’s most southerly point for refreshments before getting your sea legs back.
Kieran, is a mountain of information about the sea and sea life and is the perfect guide for the day. While shark fishing in Ireland is considered good, it is at its best in West Cork, an area which has produced more Irish sea fishing records than anywhere else and where you will find many of the top sea angling charter boats. Baltimore is a key location for shark fishing and courtesy of the Gulf Stream exotic species can often be found. Fishing is done on a responsible ‘tag and release’ basis but you will still experience the excitement of fishing for the most fearsome reputation in the ocean.
Optional extras include pre-booked meals (you will be hungry after being on the water), kayaking around Roaring Water Bay, hill walking with a guide (to get your land legs back!). You just tell us what you like to do and we’ll do the rest.
Guide Price is from €79.00 per person based on the sample itinerary.
