Church Lane Restaurant is a family business run by sisters Cheryl & Laura O’Connor. Opened in September 2012, the Restaurant is located in the unique setting of an Old Church Yard.
The building itself was originally used as the sextants lodge for the caretaker of the Protestant Church and graveyard and was later used as a family home. The house was bought eight years ago with the view to turn it in to a restaurant and because the lodge is on a heritage site, the restaurant feels like being in someone’s home. With five separate dining areas there’s plenty of space for groups, as well as a privet dining experience at The Bishops Table, named after a well known family member (ask about him when you go there…).
Church Lane’s food is naturally full of flavour and goodness with seasonal ingredients locally sourced around West Cork, an area full of really excellent food producers which is well showcased by this excellent venue.
